Artist Stikki Peaches’ work on display at NOCA!
We are thrilled to announce that several works by the very talented Montreal street and pop art artist Stikki Peaches are now gracing the walls of common spaces in the NOCA project in Griffintown. Since the launch of the NOCA project, we have been publicizing this collaboration, which we have just completed.
In order to do so, and true to form, the internationally renowned artist chose portraits of 20th century pop culture stars to put his own unique stamp on them. Here, the legendary Audrey Hepbrun is being redefined.
Another first, he chose to pay tribute to the recently deceased Mexican photographer Lourdes Grobet, with whom he wanted to start a collaboration. To salute the approach of Lourdes Grobet, who was interested in muralist art and looked at the phenomenon of wrestling, very popular in Mexico, Stikki Peaches made a work that evokes the work of the latter.
Stikky Peaches creates his works using mixed media including collage, acrylic paint and silkscreen. The promoters of NOCA are proud to showcase the work of a Montreal artist and to give the occupants the opportunity to discover this singular vision.
In addition, the intriguing 16,000 sq. ft. interior garden has also just been completed. NOCA‘s many common spaces are now accessible to all clients. A multipurpose room, a new type of community kitchen and a rooftop pool all contribute to enhancing the lifestyle of residents.
Our team is truly proud to round out a remarkable project that was an instant success.
