Ateliers Castelnau & Luminaire Authentik

Have you ever visited the Ateliers Castelnau sales office in the Mile-Ex? You’ll notice the stunning light fixtures created by a Quebec-based company called Luminaire Authentik.

Part of the new Ateliers Castelnau project involved transforming an old 1920s beaux-arts building into a new and innovative housing project. Luminaire Authentik had to preserve the character and mood of the old building, while also keeping things modern and unique.

Every architect understands and acknowledges the intricate connection between design and lighting. It’s important to strike a balance between these two elements, as lighting can easily negate an optimized design space in an instance. This is why they sought the experts in the lighting industry to get the job done right.

Luminaire Authentik has also collaborated with other companies and organizations in Quebec, including the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel, the William Grey hotel, Fiorellino restaurant, and the Museum of Fine Arts.

The Ateliers Castelnau project is one of DevMcGill’s crowned jewels and is poised to be one of the most innovative housing projects in Montreal. Situated in the heart of the burgeoning Mile-Ex neighbourhood (just north of the Le Plateau-Mont-Royal),  it’s a stone’s throw away from Jarry Park and provides easy access to the downtown core. Projections indicate it’s expected to attract buyers from around the world.
