
Festive Montreal
On January 1, Montreal kicked off the festivities in celebration of its 375th anniversary. Several activities have since gotten off to a flying start across the city’s many neighbourhoods and the celebrations will continue throughout 2017. You can therefore celebrate, discover and appreciate Montreal from every angle. For the occasion, here are a few of the year’s can’t-miss activities.
Les Hivernales
From January 6 to March 11, take advantage of sports, family and festive activities organized for Les Hivernales. From Parc Jean-Drapeau to downtown, and from the Old Port to Old Montreal, discover a host of wonderful activities that are sure to please. For more information, visit the website.
IGLOOFEST
From January 12 to February 19, the Jacques Cartier Quay and the Old Port come to life to host the city’s beloved IGLOOFEST. This event brings together thousands of electronic music fans to dance under the stars. Aime comme Montréal at MMFA
For those of you who prefer the indoors, make your way to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to see a photoreport featuring 60 intercultural couples living in Montreal. The exhibit will run from January 18 to February 19 and offers an intimate and authentic look into Montreal’s cultural diversity. For more information, visit the website.
