INFO-WORK DECEMBER: We dig! – Beaumont
Update: December 5, 2017
Throughout the construction period of the Beaumont project, information on its progress will be sent to you. Updates will be made regularly to keep you informed of the progress of the work on site and the steps to come. The project is expected to be completed in spring 2019.
WORKS TO COME IN THE FOLLOWING MONTHS
Piling and decontamination of the site are now completed. The site is currently in the excavation phase of the underground parking, which will serve both future IGA clients and future residents of the housing units. This excavation will continue until the beginning of 2018.
In the coming weeks, the project will enter a new stage with the installation of the crane and with the formwork and concreting of the parking structure. This phase will require the relocation of the street lights along Côte-Saint-Luc Road. Please pay attention to the restriction signs that will be installed during the construction period.
Public roads
During the installation of the crane, it is possible that some portions of the public roads, including Côte-Saint-Luc Road, will be partially closed to pedestrian and drivers. We will do what is necessary to inform the neighborhood in advance.
Palisade and security
Over the last few weeks, we have installed a rigid palisade to ensure the safety and protection of pedestrians using sidewalks on Côte-Saint-Luc Road and Clanranald Avenue. Openings were made to allow people to safely observe the progress of the excavation work and the concrete basements. We remind you to always respect the safety instructions of signalmen and signs.
Schedule of work
Most of the work will be done from Monday to Friday, between 7am and 7pm. These could exceptionally continue until 11pm during special operations requiring continuous work without the possibility of interruption. It should be noted that municipal regulations allow work to be carried out every day from 7am to 11pm. In the event that the work is scheduled to continue during evenings or weekends, the neighborhood will be informed in advance as much as possible.
Reduction measures
As previously mentioned, a project of this size cannot be done without upsetting the tranquility of the neighborhood. That is why we are deploying the necessary measures to limit as much as possible the impact of this work on the neighborhood.
