ODEA Montréal | Architect Douglas Cardinal is granted a new distinction
On November 4th, Douglas Cardinal, the distinguished native architect, surrounded by CREECO members, was bestowed with the Spanish award Commander of the Order of the Civil Merit granted by His Majesty Felipe VI, King of Spain.
The ODEA Montreal real estate project team is delighted that the talent of the architect who contributed to the creation of the project has been rewarded in this way and feels very proud to have had the privilege of collaborating with such a distinguished personality.
The ODEA Montréal project highlights the presence of the Cree Nation in Montréal by integrating its values and certain cultural elements.
In fact, the project’s fine relief envelope will partly symbolize the shape of a canoe – odeyak in the Cree language, hence this subtle reminder in the structure of the complex and in the name of the project.
Partners Eeyou Eenou Realty Properties Inc. (Creeco Inc.) and Cogir Real Estate expect the ODEA Montreal project to be completed by 2024.
