Summer is coming very fast

It’s Spring and you are ready to get out! Locked in your condo all winter, you just want to enjoy the terraces, markets and picnic in the park. You dressed with your most beautiful summer dress and put you sneakers on and you walk in the neighborhood just to feel the fresh air and be prepared for your summer. There is absolutely no better way to see what are the new restaurants and stores that have opened their doors during winter.

Near the Castelnau project, located in the edge of Little Italy and Jarry Park, there are a lot of possibilities to enjoy the arrival of warm temperatures. Here are a few of them.

Marché Jean-Talon

Jean-Talon Market is open year round. But all the people who visit the market regularly know that it is much nicer to buy fruits and vegetables in the outdoor kiosks. It’s in the week of April 25th that the merchants arrived and set up their outdoor tables. It is now possible to wander in the crowded alleys of the market and buy your groceries for your week meals.

Brasserie Harricana

The brewery is open since a few years now. Located at the corner of St-Urbain and Jean-Talon, it offers an exceptional menu of beers made on site and selected from a few Quebec microbreweries. On May 1st, the brewery opens its terrace. It is an unquestionable stop before your visit at the Jean-Talon market.

Pizzeria Gema

Pizzeria Gema is a small neighborhood restaurant created by chefs Stefano Faita and Michele Forgione. Open and recognized for many years now, it allows you to get pizza on the go for dinner you don’t want to do. With its external counter, no one is obliged to enter. Just go, order and leave with your pizza box. You can then eat it in your condo or sitting on a picnic table at the Jarry Park.
