Tyler’s story – Life on the fast lane!

They say that the Byward Market is at the centre of the city’s action. The mornings see the streets bustling with suited-up professionals rushing off to the office, espressos in hand. The neighbourhood’s proximity to the Hill and the concentration of office buildings in the downtown core makes it easy to leave the car at home. I opt  most days for taking my new ‘Fixie’ bike–and there is nothing like cruising through the scenic streets to start my day.

I’m Tyler, a relatively newly minted lawyer. It’s been a long journey through schooling and I’m happy to finally be at the point where I’m taking the next step in my career and planning for my future in Ottawa.  For me, the right first home has to accommodate the fast-paced lifestyle that comes with my budding career, and balancing my social life.  Arthaus, I discovered, is the ideal match for my budget. The area is also a prime locale in a historic neighbourhood worthy of investing in–after all the city of Ottawa has unveiled major development plans for the area–building a gateway to the ByWard Market that will act as a European-style “people’s  space”, and the city’s light rail system coming in 2018 is sure to up attraction to the already-popular district.

Accessibility was a major draw for me in choosing ArtHaus Condos. Impromptu meetings at local cafes, swinging over to meet colleagues for lunch, or hitting up an after-work patio pint with the guys makes for easy living. And the nightlife is always happening. On a  weeknight I can take in Sidedoor kitchen & bar for a couple Earl of York’s (bourbon and orange bitters) and Spicey Braised Beef tacos to catch up with friends on the day’s happenings. On the weekend, my new space makes it easy to invite over my crew to watch the game, or lounge on the rooftop terrace. The sleek and innovative architectural design makes my condo a showpiece bound to get noticed. With Arthaus, living on the edge of the city’s most happening neighbourhood, I can work, live and play–at the centre of it all.
