Winter Fun in Old Montreal
While some of you plan on stepping out of the big city for the holidays, keep in mind that Old Montreal offers a host of activities that will have you enjoying great winter family fun during the holidays.
Up until January 1, 2017, people of all ages are invited to discover Old Montreal as it transforms into a huge Christmas village. Take the time to visit the magnificent Christmas Market of Place Jacques-Cartier which runs until December 24. You will find all the gifts on your list and discover new products while experiencing all the magic of the holidays.
Then, warm up while taking a cozy break in one of the Adirondak chairs nestled around the fireplaces. The perfect spot to enjoy a cup of hot cocoa.
Lastly, on December 31, ring in the New Year with famous artists such as Alex Nevsky, Louis-Jean Cormier and Bernard Adamus. Dancing, drinks at the bar and fireworks await!
Set up two years ago in the Old Port of Montreal, the MTL Zipline is a definite must. This attraction is now open all winter long instead of only in the summer months. Adrenaline seekers can glide and scream over the Old Port skating rink.
The Old Port’s Natrel Skating Rink is definitely worth the trip. Its themed nights, including Workout On Ice Tuesdays, Comfort On Ice Wednesdays, DJ On Ice Tuesdays and Fireworks Saturdays, are a sure bet for spending quality time with friends and family.
No matter your mood, Old Montreal is the go-to destination for winter fun in Montreal.
